Carving Pumpkins!

Tayten carved her pumpkin the other night with help from daddy. She didn't want much to do with it but was very interested. She would sort of touch the pumpkin guts but then wipe her hands on her shirt. She mostly just stood and watched and chewed on the spoon that came with the pumpkin knife! Chewing on the spoon

Pumpkin Fest and other weekend activities

We started off Saturday by spending the morning/afternoon at Grandma Kathy's & Grandpa Jim's playing with Landon, Maggie, Mason & Connor. Tayten just loves playing with other kids. Her and Connor her sooo cute playing together in the garage. Of course I forgot my camera so I didn't get to take any pictures. We can't wait for them to come back again. Saturday evening we went to a Halloween Party. All the kids had on their costumes and played lots of games. Tayten once again was in heaven with all the kids. Even though she was the youngest she still loved it. Once again I forgot to take some pictures! Then on Sunday we went to "pumpkin fest" I wasn't sure how she would do but she loved it. She walked around everywhere and did almost everything. She loved the little cow train, playing in the baby pumpkin patch (her favorite we spent forever there), taking a hayride, and playing in the corn box. She even enjoyed a Apple-cinnamon donuts. They were delicious!

What a great fall-filled weekend!! Now were off to start another week. We have MOPS and a few playdates planned this week so it should be fun!!

Oh.. and if the weather cooperates were thinking about going to "pumpkin fest" http://thepumpkinfest.com on Sunday. I really just want to get some of their donuts! Thirsty Anyone?

Well she is!! I had this 2 liter left over from my scrapbook club the other week. By the time I got home, by bottle had rolled around enough times on the floor board of the car it was flat. So as I was pouring it out Tayten starting have a major fit because she wanted the bottle. So I gave it to her and she started drinking away!!

2 falls 1 Week

Now that Tayten is a walker she falls or runs into things all the time. The other night she was carrying around a plastic pumpkin and ran right into the trim on the door. She hit her forehead pretty hard, she only cried for a few minutes and then tried it again. So now she officially has her 1st bruise. Then today she bumped her cheek on the chair. I wouldn't call it a bruise but she has a nice little mark on her face. Since these were the 1st bruises she has gotten I just had to take a picture! I'm sure there will be many more but I need something to scrapbook!
The pictures are awful looking. It looks like I am taking her mug shot!!

She's also gotten quite sassy in the last few days! That must come with turning 1!!

She Walks & RuNs!!

Tayten is officially a walker. She has been walking for about a week and a half now. It's taken lots of practice but now she can turn around and get up from the floor without falling. Sometimes she still crawls because she can get to it faster. She also discovered how to run in the process. It's so funny to watch her, she gets going so fast she falls down. Now nothing is safe!!
She also learned a few new words. She can now say Boo, Baby and Bye. So now maybe she won't just keep saying Hi!

Gotta love her

Covered Bridge Festival here we come!!

This weekend my friend MaryAnne and I decided at the last minute to go to the covered bridge festival on Saturday. So we made quick plans and decided to leave first thing Saturday morning. My mom watched Tayten for me so MayAnne and I had a great girls day out! We had so much fun shopping, talking and eating lots of good food! I remembered to take my camera but forgot to take any pictures!! Thanks MaryAnne for a fun-filled Saturday! I enjoyed it so much. Then, as soon as we arrived back home we left again to go out to dinner with my Grandparents. We had a great time with good food and good people! We ended out the weekend with getting some pumpkins and playing at Grandma Kathy's and Grandpa Jim's. Tayten had lots of fun playing with Grace and Eli!
Tomorrow we go to MOPS!! Yeah!!

Dishwasher

Tayten has a new fascination with the dishwasher. As soon as she hears me open the door to the dishwasher she's right there. The other day I was unloading the dishwasher and walked into the other room to put some things away,I came back and this is what I had found. A little helper! She has also discovered how to climb in the dishwasher on the racks and how to stand up on the door and pull the dishes out!

Great Grandma & Great Granpa

We had some vistors today! Grandma and Grandpa Davis came for a visit. We had lots of fun visiting with them and showing grandma how to use her new computer. Were so excited that she got a computer so we can send pictures and talk to them while they are in Florida. Grandpa read books to Tayten and played with toys while I showed grandma how to setup an e-mail account.

We love you Grandpa & Grandma
