Christmas Pictures

We had our Christmas pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. Tayten is getting harder and harder to photograph since she likes to run. The girl taking the pictures was new and I don't think she much experience taking children's pictures. She did get a few good shots even though Tayten did not want to smile. Here's some of my favorites!

The Perfect Tree

Friday evening we went to pick our tree. In the past we would go to a "real" tree farm and buy a tree and spend way too much money on something that we throw out a couple days after christmas is over. Two years ago I discovered that Lowes has pretty nice trees and good prices. So we went to Lowes to find our tree. It was freezing and we were trying to find two trees,one for us and one for my mom and dad. I didn't get many pictures but it was still fun voting on which tree we should get! Tayten was running around all over and touching every tree so I guess she had fun!

Happy Thanksgiving and other things!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my aunts. Very low-key with the kids playing, boys watching football, girls planning their shopping strategy, and some great food. The bummer was that my dad was in the hospital, he's been there since Monday morning. He got an infection in his access for dialysis and had to put a new one in. Since no-one under the age of 18 is allowed in the hospital we didn't visit him until Thanksgiving evening. Tayten enjoyed staying with Brent & Stacy. She sure loves her Brent!! I'm not sure if it him or the runts she's after!! After a busy Thanksgiving day I finally went to bed around 11:00 and was up at 2:00 AM to go shopping. My mom, Aunt Tammy, Kelsey and I had out lists ready! It was such a fun day for shopping, eating and laughter!! We laughed alot! I think we mostly got everything we wanted plus more. We just love to ShOp!! We shopped for TwElVe hours!! We we finally made it home I took a quick nap and then it was time to go pick out our Christmas tree! It was freezing and took 4-ever but fun!! And in the middle of picking out the trees dad was able to come home!

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday and I will post some pictures of picking out the tree soon! I took my camera to Thanksgiving but forgot to take any pictures! (too busy planning my shopping trip)

Children's Museum

I had some 1/2 price tickets to the children's museum, so last week on one of the rainy days we decided to go. Tayten walked around the place almost the entire time and was going non-stop. She loved playing with everything, and went from one thing to another. I think it was almost to much for her to handle! She loved playing in the water and having a tea party with the bears! Girl Talk

Monkey See- Monkey Do I guess!! Tayten has been carrying her phone around the house talking on it. Usually she says," Daddy, Hi and then a bunch of other stuff that I don't understand. It's just way to cute!!

Tayten has recently discovered how to work her play bank. She loves to put the large colorful coins into it and hear it sing. She will set and play with it for long periods of time. I snapped a few pictures of her playing with it the other night!

14 Months!

14 months has sure flown by! She's such a BiG GiRl but also still a baby which I LoVe!

• Loves grilled Cheese & Pizza
• Will only drink milk if it is warm
• Loves to play with balls & read books
• Loves to eat smarties & runts
• Loves to sleep on the couch
• Does not like meat of any kind except an occasional hot dog
• Loves Purses and bags!
• cries when daddy leaves in the morning & loves when we go visit in the evening

Saturday afternoon while at my mom's house Tayten decided that she wanted to play volleyball with Shelby. Needless to say Shelby got a work out chasing Tayten all around the yard and down the hill. There yard is on a hill and very uneven so she had a hard time staying on her feet. I think she may have gotten her 1st grass stains!! O-well she had a lot of fun playing ball!

Tayten also thinks it's a lot of fun shopping with Shelby, since she keeps giving her toys to play with and then I have to be the one to take them away! Then Shelby says " I know Tayten your mom is mean she won't buy you anything"

Operation Christmas Child

This year at MOPS each table is putting a box together to send around the world to needy countries for Christmas. We picked an age group decided what we were each going to donate and ta-da the box is finished. Well, I decided that it would be a good idea to maybe make some extra boxes on our own to send as well. We decided that we would do two boxes. So.. Tayten and I went shopping today to start filling our boxes since they are due next week. I think we did pretty good. I still need to get a few more hygiene items and a stuffed animal but other than that I think were set. Tayten doesn't really get the concept yet but I thought it would be a great tradition to start. It was very fun and I love shopping for others~~ I can't wait to see what country our boxes get sent to!

Here's Tatyen in her Halloween costume! She was the cutest ladybug I've ever seen!! I didn't get a good picture seeing as how she was being very uncooperative. I guess dressing up in a ladybug suite is just not her style. She did have fun though. I'm not sure how this worked out but I think she ended up with more "stuff" than candy!!
