Movie Time

Tayten loves to watch the Wiggles. She will come up to us and say "movie" when she wants to watch them. So when we go put one in for her she gets so excited and squeals. She stands there for the longest time watching it but then she remembers that she can push the buttons on the TV. She always pushes the channel button up 1 and changes the screen to this: So then she knows that the remote will fix it. So she then proceeds to walk over to the kitchen table, pull out a chair, climb up on the chair and then onto the TABLE to get the remote as shown:

And then stays on top of the table yelling "DADDY DADDY" until someone gets her down and changes the channel back to this:

THE WIGGLES!!

She will then stand and watch it for another long while and then repeat the process again!!

Static Hair

Check out Tayten's hair after she's done "jumping on the couch!"! That's right I said "jumping on the couch" she loves doing it and we just can't seem to make her stop! We get her down, tell her no, and everything else but she continues to do it. She's even fell off, she then laughs, and proceeds to do it again!! Oh...what it would like to be a kid again!!!

I love this picture!! Her hair is absolutely crazy!!

Loong Week

Sorry for the delay in blogging but it seems like I just haven't had time lately. Tayten has not been taking very good naps and when she does take a long nap I have a ton of stuff on my list to get done and I never seem to make it far enough down on my list to get to blogging. We've had a busy week so far. On Monday I made a meal for a lady at MOPS who had just had a baby. It was fun but a lot of work. Making 2 complete dinners kept me in the kitchen all day and evening. Tuesday we went to MOPS and did errands in town. Usually I don't get much done on MOPS days because Tayten HATES MOPS and cries for 2 hours so by the time I pick her up she only wants to be held, so I usually end up coming back home and not getting any errands done. But, yesterday they told me that she is improving, She only cried off and on for 2 hours!! Yeah were making progress!!! :) Today we had haircuts. While I was getting mine cut I had Tim at Design Team straighten up the back of Taytens. He only cut a few strands but it looks so much better!!

Lazy Day

Today has been a lazy day around here. I have been cleaning and doing laundry all morning. We were supposed to have play group today with my MOPS table but since it was slick out and school got canceled we decided to wait until next week. Which is okay since Tatyen is not feeling the best. I took her to the Dr. yesterday and she said that we need to start the breathing treatments again. Do those things ever end? Hopefully they will help and Brandon and I will get a full nights sleep. Anyway, I'm sure you have noticed the countdown tickers at the top!! Yes were going on two trips and yes they are within two weeks of each other and yes were crazy!! More on the trips to come!!

Well back to dusting this dusty office :)

Boo Boo Buddy

Whenever Tayten falls down and needs ice on something she will never let you put it on her. She screams until you take it off. I had heard of Boo boo Buddy's but could never find them, but I finally found them on Diapers.com so I purchased two. One is a kitty and the other is a bee and she loves them and actually uses them for the indented purpose. The other night she fell down and bumped her head the bumble bee worked great! She even knew what to do with it!

Why didn't I think of these things???

Playing in the snow!

Tayten had her 1st experience with snow the other day when the snow was still here. I bundled her up and Brandon took her out side! She even rode on her little sled! I took a ton of pictures but these are the best. She did'nt stay out for long but she did enjoy it!

Not Me Monday

While making dinner Sunday night I "did not" look over and see my child climbing from the couch onto the side table. Nope not me I always know where my child is and I would never let her stand on a table! ( And she was very proud too!)

I definitely do "not" pile up trash by the back door because I'm to much of a whip to go out in the cold! Nope not me I'm "NOT" that lazy! And then, I most certainly "do not" make Brent take my trash to the dumpster. I would never do that!! (but thanks Brent I do appreciate it)

New Housekeeper

Another gift that Tayten received for Christmas was "Dusty" the talking vacuum. Once again we didn't take it out of the box until this past weekend when she was bored. It is now her new favorite push toy. It has two interactive voices that talk back and forth to each other and she loves it. She loves to sweep the kitchen floor & the rugs! "Dusty"

She still has a couple of toys that we haven't given to her yet so stay tuned....

Mr. Potato Head....

Put together by a 16 month old! Tayten received a Mr. Potato head for Christmas and we have not gotten it out of the package until the other day when it snowed and she was going stir crazy. We worked on it together a while until she got the concept and then I let her do it all by her self. Each time she would put a piece in a hole she would clap her hands! Adorable! This was the finished masterpiece!

16 Months

Our sweet little girl is 16 months old today! Before we know it she will be 1 1/2 years old! Time sure flies when you have little ones. Here's the facts:

She starting to wear 18 month clothes

Wears a size 3 diaper

Currently loooves peach yogurt melts, mac & cheese, pizza and pretzels

Drinks milk out of one kind of cup and juice/water out of another kind of cup!

Still loves her pacie!!

Likes to read books. Her favorite right now is " That's not my kitten"

She recently discovered chocolate chip cookies. Now she asks for a cookie!

Has a mouth full of teeth! - I haven't counted in a while

Say's ton's of words- Daddy, Momma, Kitty, Juju (juice), cookie, gaga (food), dog, boboots (boots), Hi, all done, baby and more!

"not me" MONDAY

~When I wanted to clean out the fridge last week all by my self I most definitely "did not" use the TV as a babysitter. Nope not me!~ If you would drive by our house you would definitely "Not" see our Christmas tree on the front porch. Nope not us.. we are way more on top of it than that!!

IcE CrEaM!!!
The other night when it was freezing cold outside we had a few errands to run in town. Before we made our last stop we stopped for dinner at Dairy Queen. Tayten has had icecream before but she has never got to lick a cone! It was cute and I just happed to have my camera! Brandon said it was ridiciouls to take pictures at Dairy Queen but I did anyway!

Slippers

Check out my model.... She is in love with her slippers and no I did not make her pose. She knows what to do when I pull out the camera! She actually calls them booboots and it is so cute to here her say it. Using the blocks as a prop!

Future Picasso

Tayten loves to scribble/color but I hate letting her do it because she either eats the crayon or breaks them. I know thats a sad excuse for not letting her be "creative" but that has all changed now that I found Melissa and Doug colored pencils. They are like regular colored pencils but they are fat perfect for little hands. So now she can color whenever she wants!
