Hot Cocoa

Tayten had her first experience with hot chocolate right before Christmas. I'm not sure why we have never let her try it before except for the fact that we knew she wouldn't like it.

She knew just how to make it: I'll try to interpret her "constructions" (that's what she's says for instructions)

First: A HUGE spoon full Then you put it in the super hot milk then you stir stir stir it

Then add a marshmallow and a straw

She put her thumb up , but really she didn't like it.

One drink was all she wanted :)

Christmas 2011

We had a wonderful and exciting Christmas with our families and friends. In fact were still celebrating! I have so many cute pictures and fun things to share, but in the mean time I'll leave you with some pictures of Christmas Eve and Morning with the girls Christmas Eve

Christmas Lights

We went to see the Christmas Lights this weekend. First we made a stop at Dairy Queen for some ice cream. Tayten choose a "white" shake. She is really into milkshakes right now. She always wants to go to Chic-fil-a and get a milkshak. She was so excited to see the lights and Hollis enjoyed them too.

We HAD to have the window rolled down, so Tayten could see better. I guess she can't see out the window;)

Mobile

My sweet little lady is now mobile....

She hasn't mastered crawling but she can army crawl pretty much

anywhere she wants and FAST!!

I was hoping she would wait until after the tree was down, no such luck
but she hasn't really bothered the tree

Breakfast with Santa

Saturday morning we went over to the Union at Purdue for "Breakfast with Santa". We actually skipped out on the breakfast part but we did all the other activities. It was fun, Tayten's favorite part was the gingerbread house! Giant Gingerbread house

We tried to take some pictures in front of the tree, but there were a lot of people so we had to do it quicklyHollis wasn't to sure about this...

They had crafts set up for the kids to make.. Tayten loved it

While we waited in line for Santa, they had elves doing tricks. This elf was juggling and Tayten got to help her

and finally we got to visit Santa

Meet....

Nerf!

Nerf is our Elf on the Shelf.

He came to our house Thanksgiving Day and has been watching for good behavior to report back to Santa. Each night the Elf flies back to the north pole to report to Santa then flies back to our house. Each morning he is in a new spot for Tayten to find.

She loves him... He came with the book, so we read it. It tells all about the elf and gives some rules like,"no touching the elf" and such. We also had to name him and Tayten choose "Nerf"

PINK tree

Wow! She has grown up so much

Trim the tree...

Tayten got all sorts of excited when we bought the tree and when we brought down the boxes of decorations but when it actually came time to do it she wasn't all that interested in it. She did hang a few then she decided she would put the star on. Hollis well....I'll just let you see the picture.

Hollis had the tree skirt off within 10 minutes....

I was hoping she wouldn't notice the tree!

Tree Picking

Friday after Thanksgiving we went and picked our tree! I didn't get a lot of pictures since Hollis decided that she didn't like picking out trees. The little lady was not happy! Tayten of course ran around like a crazy girl and really thought we should get a tree that was about 2 foot tall! Up to something

We are all decorated for Christmas around here...So be looking for lots and lots of posts.
Tayten got a BIG tree for her toy room, It's really not that big but its BIG to her.

She was so excited to get it out of the box!

She even picked out pink lights

Seven Months

SEVEN MONTHS?!?!

Can you believe it? Our baby girl is Seven months old!! I'm guessing she weighs about 14 lbs

Wears some 3-6 months clothes but most are getting to short and 6-9 months are to BIG!

Size 2 Diaper

Size 0-3 shoe- she has little feet apparently.

Loves to smile, laugh and JUMP! She is a jumping bean

She finally has mastered siting up

She can army crawl and scoot pretty fast- It's only a matter of time

Say's something that sounds pretty close to Dadda!

Still drinks about 5 ounces in her bottles

Eats baby food twice a day most days

She is not to keen on fruit puffs but loves to chew on her sippy cup

She recently decided that she didn't liked to be rocked to sleep. Sometimes she will still let us though...
