Last week while Tayten and I were out Christmas shopping I ran across these cute rubber boots on the clearance rack at Kohl's. Before looking to see if they even had her size I checked for the price and found the tag to say $2.50. Well at $2.50 I had to find some that fit her and some for next spring! I tried them on her while she was sitting in the stroller and she instantly noticed that they had a kitty on them. So she goes crazy saying "kitty, kitty" and starts screaming for them. Ever since she is in love with them. She wears them around the house and when we say "go get your shoes" she brings the kitty boots! Unfortunately she is a major klutz in them. Maybe she gets that from my mom or Aunt Connie!!:)
Please don't mind the drool on the shirt. She's working on get her molars!

Christmas Lights
We ventured out to Rose Lawn Acres in Rossiville and the TPA Park in Frankfort to view the Christmas lights. I was afraid that Tayten would fall asleep on the way there and miss the entire thing, but she managed to stay awake. It was to cold to roll the windows down to enjoy the music but she enjoyed it. She keep squealing in delight the entire way through the lights and even smiled at Santa when he gave her a candy cane! I was going to let her try the candy cane once we got home but she fell asleep on the way home so she missed it. I'll let her try another day!

Christmas Card Rejects
I was trying to get Tayten's picture for our Christmas card and you can see how well that turned out. She was unhappy about getting her clothes changed plus it had been a long day with only a 25 minute nap in the car! I did get 2 good pictures so be looking for the winning picture in your mailbox soon!

Every Little girl needs...
a PINK Christmas tree! One day while I was out shopping with my mom and sisters they spotted the pink tree and insisted that Tayten just needed to have it. My mom's reason was "I had to buy you a tree when you were little" and girls had a million reason's why she needed it. So we bought the tree and the little pink ornaments that go on it. It is super cute and Tayten had fun decorating the tree. It has no lights on it so every once and while I let her play with it. Her toy room is now decorated for Christmas!!

First overnight stay
Tayten had her first overnight stay Tuesday night. Brandon and I went to a Beck's Hybrids Christmas party in Indy with Brent & Stacey. We dropped her off around 7:30 am Tuesday morning and picked up today (Wednesday) around noon. She stayed with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Jim and did great! I think it was harder on me than it was on her. Stacey and I shopped around Indy while the boys were in meetings and then at night we went to the formal party. It's a good thing I had Stacey with me yesterday to keep me busy or I might have not been able to make it. We did have fun but I was definitely ready to come home and get her. I probably broke a record with the most calls to check on her but o-well. Thank you so much Grandma Kathy
WE LOVE YOU!!!
oh-yeah and my parents and sisters made bets to see if I would make it!! and I won!!
Decorating the Tree
Here's our tree now that it's decorated! Tayten helped by taking all of the ornaments out of the boxes and throwing them around and saying "ball, ball" the entire time. It's a good thing those ornaments are shatter-proof. I forgot to shut the lights off to get a good picture after we decorated it so I need to do that. Enjoy!
