Triming the tree

It was super cold out when we went to get our tree the day after Thanksgiving so we quickly picked one and I didn't take one picture! It wasn't that exciting anyway....

Tayten LOVED putting the lights on.  She tried to do it all by her self but we talked her into letting us help her out a bit!

 

 Hollis on the other hand, pretty much just ran around, kept pointing at the tree and yelling ut-oh at it! She's really not sure what it think of it and she hasn't really bothered it. Not like I imagined at all.

 We decorated it the next day while Hollis was napping :)

Tayten thought it would be much easier without Hollis helping!!

 She is still talking about putting the star and ribbon on!

 

The toy room is all decorated as well. We added a new felt tree this year that they both love.

 They play with it almost every day and of course they have their little pink tree and also a bigger tree with pink lights, pink ribbon, & lots of glitter ornaments!

November Catch Up & Phone dump!

WOW! I haven't blogged in a LONG time! It would take me forever to get caught up back to November so I'll just do a brief update and start back with December!

 

 

One Sunday in November Tayten and I went to a play at the Civic Theater. It was put on by the children's club. We saw Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse!  I wasn't sure how she would do but she did GREAT and LOVED it!

 

 Before the show started...popcorn time!

 After it was over we went for a little ice cream date.

Tayten decided she can write her name!

 

 We were way proud of her of course but she doesn't think it's that BIG of a deal. Her teacher's are impressed to...they haven't even started working on names yet!!

 

We got all decorated up for Christmas around here(Lots more to come on that) but one evening before bedtime Tayten put together an interesting combination on Santa's sleigh!

 As you can tell, Hollis is still a hot mess! :)

 

We enjoyed lots of open gym time in November

 Hollis really loves it!

 

 

We did a whole lot more in November but that's all I got pictures of, don't worry I've got ton's and ton's of posts ahead!

{Open Gym Time }

Thursday morning we went to open gym play time with our MOPS friends at Malones Gymnastics Center!  It's such a fun place to play and burn lots and lots of energy! I'm thinking we will be spending lots of time there this winter :)

 

We have been there before but I think the last time we went Hollis wasn't walking yet. She absolutely had a ball. She just ran around, laughed, giggled and had such a fun time. Her face was priceless.

Chairs

If you ever been to our house you have probably seen that my kids love to sit on top of the TV stand to watch TV. Tayten started doing it a long long time ago. At first I tried and tried to get her to get down but eventually it was a battle that wasn't worth fighting. Well, now Hollis like to set up there too. Space was starting to get a little cramped, I knew it would only be a matter of time before one of them fell off backwards. So I started shopping around for little chairs.

 

I finally broke down and ordered them some and it's safe to say they LOVE them!

 

 Hollis had just woken up from nap....but she was so excited!

 I think Tayten looks so grown up and huge in the picture!

 

It hasn't completely stoped them from sitting on the TV stand but it does help

Tayten's Class Halloween Parade

Tayten's School had a Halloween Parade for the parent's yesterday!

It was hard to get a good picture from where I was sitting but they were all so cute!

 

Then I helped with the class party but I was so busy helping groups of 4 year olds paint pumpkins I had no time to take any pictures!

She wasn't very happy when we put her costume on her Saturday evening to go to a Halloween party! She hated the feet things and the hat but I didn't give in and she finally got over it ;)
