Salt Dough & Sugar Cookies

The Friday before Christmas Tayten didn't have school since there was a 2-hour delay. I knew I needed to come up with something to entertain her so we busted out some classic salt dough cutouts! Even Hollis joined in and helped and maybe even tried a little bite of the salty dough!

Later that evening after daddy was home to help supervise they painted them. Hollis didn't want to stop. She had the best time.

Even with paint smocks on they still went straight to the bath tub! The next day Tayten packaged them up and gave them out. She couldn't have been more excited :)

We also made sugar cookies and while Hollis napped we decorated them!

As you can tell, it takes her a while since she has to taste the icing every few minutes. She only did 4 and daddy & I did the rest!
 Sprinkles much?!?
Love this picture~
She didn't really eat that whole spoon full of icing :)

Meeting Santa

After Breakfast with Santa we took the girls over to the mall so they could visit with Santa!
Tayten was all about it and Hollis was to until we took her out of the stroller!

This is such a classic picture and I LOVE it!
Santa was SO good with them. He spent a ton time talking to Tayten and even to Hollis after she was back in the stroller.  We hung the picture up on the fridge and every time we walk by it Hollis gets a very sad face and points but then say's HO HO HO and tries to hug him!

Gingerbread House Building

Daddy helped Tayten put together a gingerbread house. We had a huge mess but they had so much fun! Hollis even got in on the action.
T was such a big helper!

 The little Miss
 Almost ready to decorate!
Those little candy balls were nearly the death of me. I chased them around everywhere!

Hollis would put candy on the house then take it back off and put it somewhere else. She was so funny to watch.
oh and she had to try some of course
 She was totally into it

Finished house & one proud girl!

Breakfast with Santa

A few Saturday's ago we went to the Purdue Union for Breakfast with Santa. It was so CRAZY busy and packed with people that we didn't even get to see Santa. Honestly I think the girls were so overwhelmed with the amount of people because we couldn't get them to do anything :(

They made a little jingle bell wreath.

Tayten's favorite part of the whole thing is the giant gingerbread house.

It's almost impossible to get a good picture of Hollis...she would rather explore than stand still :)
