Garage Sales Part 1

Friday Tayten and I picked up our friends Jessica and Billy and headed out to garage sale! We went to the Landing's Housing Addition on 350. We sort of have a whole tactic to garage saleing so when we first get there we drive around and scope things out. Then if one of us sees something that strikes our eye one of us jumps out while the other stays in the car with the kids! After we drive around, we then park and walk around. So that what we did yesterday! We had a lot of fun and found some good deals! Tayten was not cooperating so we didn't stay to long but we did get some things so we left like we scored for week 1 garage saleing.

These are my sweet finds!!

1. Cherry Blossom Market.

It's cloth play house and it's brand new, never been opened. The lady said she over bought at Christmas! It retails at Toys R Us for $ 34.98 and I paid a whooping $ 10.00! If I can find some/buy some more pieces I may save it for a Christmas/birthday gift!

2. A TOWEL WARMER!!!

Our bathroom is freezing! We have a little heater in there that we turn on when we take showers and normally we put our towels down close to it so it warm the towels a little. I spotted this sweet thing as we were walking by. A older lady was selling it, and she said that she bought it for her daughter who has everything at Christmas, but her daughter said they would not use it so she gave it back to her mom. I'm so excited to get this thing in use!! The best part it sells for $79.99 and I paid $5.00!!!

3. A little tikes drum. Nothing special just a drum. $ 1.50



For $16.50 I feel like I got some great deals!
Can't wait until next Friday!!!

Visitors

My Grandma and Grandpa Davis's friends from Florida stoped by for a visit on there way back home to Minnesota. They had not yet gotten to meet Tayten yet so we stopped by! Of course they know lots about her since Grandma and Grandpa are very proud! Anyway, we had fun visiting and it was so nice to see them again! Great Grandpa Davis

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Swimming with the Dolphins

I finally got around to ordering our dolphin picture. I think it turned out pretty good. I was windy that day so our hair is crazy and were sucked into wet suits but other than that it's good!

Bowling with 4-H

Mom's 4-H group had a bowling party and Tayten and I went since Brandon was in the field. At first I wasn't sure how Tayten would do, but she loved it. Of course she wanted to run down the lanes but other than that she ran around wild and played with the big kids. Our neighbors where there so Claire entertained her a lot!! Tayten can't wait to join grandma's 4-H club!!!

SwingSet

We put together the swing set a few weekends ago and she loves it. Every time we go out side she heads to the back yard. It's perfect for her size. She swings for awhile then goes to the side and then swings again!

Corn Planting and Spring Fest

Another busy weekend. Saturday we went to Spring Fest at Purdue. It was very busy but we had fun. I didn't take any pictures but we saw lots of animals and other things. I think next year will be a good age for Tayten to actually take part in most of the activities. Then we spent some time with daddy while he was planting. Tayten loves tractor rides and seeing her daddy. Before nap time today she was crying in the window because the neighbor is planting beans and she thinks that Brandon is out there. So needless to say I'm sure we will go visit daddy again tonight around dinner time!

Sitting next to daddy in the big girl seat! Her favorite things to do are: Put the seat belt on, honk the horn, & turn on the turn signal. Oh..yeah and eat Brent's runts

At least for now it seems to be that she's more of a farm girl than princess!! :)

Minnie Mouse

Tayten LOVES Minnie Mouse and most of you know that we have a lot of them. Well since she can't carry them all at once she was trying to gather all them up and put into her ball pit. But, she got side tract and decided to love on her two favorite Minnie's!

Busy Day

Wow! What a busy day we had today! This morning we had MOPS. Tayten stilled cried when I dropped her off but quickly made friends with a "Grandpa" man. They said she played a little but mostly just sat in his lap. The man goes to church at ECC and he def. enjoyed his morning with her because he told me about how it made him miss his own grandchildren who live in another state. Then we met my friend Missy for lunch at the custard. Tayten was being so well behaved we did a few errands and then came home.
Later we fixed oven fried chicken for daddy and Brent and set out. Tayten loves going to see them each night. She says "daddy daddy" as soon as we get close to the farm. Tonight was a special night for Tayten as she got to plant corn with Brent. It was too cute. She sat on his lap and helped drive the tractor! My camera was in the car so I didn't get a picture but I'll get one tomorrow!!

We came home around 8:00 and she was exhausted! Here's a picture of my tired girl in her new Minnie Mouse nightgown that the Easter bunny brought! Little girls in nightgowns are so sweet!

Weekend

Not much went on this weekend around here. I did some spring cleaning. I'm in the process of putting all of Tayten's too small clothes into those bags that you take the air out of with the vacuum. I can't remember what there called. They hold way more than totes and they can fit under beds! I also put away all the baby toys that she no longer plays with. Of course when I was getting them out to put away she wanted all of them but she hasn't missed them since they been gone. We also worked outside trying to get her play set put up. It's missing a piece so that is on order. That about it around here!

Yesterday we spent the morning at Columbian Park. It was so nice and T loved it! I let her run around but she mainly stayed right around the little kid slide and swings. There were quite a few people there but they were playing on the big stuff so we had it all to ourselves for awhile. She swung most of the time but when she was not swinging she was sliding!

Yay for Spring!!!!!

Busy Easter Weekend

We had a busy but very good Easter weekend. We spent Saturday and Sunday with lots of family and friends! Tayten looked so cute in all of her Easter dresses. She slept in on Sunday morning so the Easter Bunny didn't visit our house until after we came home from church. When we got back he had came! Tayten loves her sand toys and her Minnie night gown! Now I just need to put the sand in the sandbox so she can play! holding her basket

Friday Night Date

Tonight Tatyen and I met my mom and Shelby in town for a date. Kelsey and dad were busy and Brandon was working on some things, so it worked out perfect. 1st we went to Kohl's and did a little shopping since they were having a 'BIG" sale, then we went to eat at my "new" favorite restaurant~Moe's~ If you like Mexican food you should try it out!
