Mother's Day

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Mother's day! My two sweets were very thoughtful this year and bought me a new pair of diamond earrings.I'm telling ya Tayten must have known it was Mother's day because she's been all about mommy lately!!

Our Week

Not much happening around here this week. I think this week was our "down week" because we had nothing going on except Gym on Wednesday. It was nice to have a not so busy week because we have a very busy Saturday! Lots to do and places to go!! We did lots of playing outside and cleaning but other than that not much! A picture of Tayten in case you forgot what she looked like!
I think I forgot to tell you all about my new FAVORITE place to shop. It called Etsy. It's a online store where people who make handmade crafts sell them. I bought these hair bows on there and also a super cute pillowcase dress for Tayten. It's a little big but it's oh so cute! I also purchased a gift for a friend. There is everything you can imagine and the best part is that it's all handmade. Take a look, I'm sure it will steal your heart like it did mine! :)

These are my new stylish shoes that I got at Target. My sister's say I need to get in fashion, so I'm working on it. I cleaned out the closet this week and took 3 baskets to Second Glance and the rest are going in mom's garage sale next weekend. Besides the shoes I did get some other outfits that were determined "in style" by the "GIRLS" I would post some pictures but

I haven't wore the outfits yet and 2. This blog is not about me so I don't think I will!!

Sick, Sick Baby

Thursday afternoon Tayten woke up from her nap at 3:00 just like she does every day. When I changed her diaper I noticed that she has some little tiny red bumps on her ankles. I didn't think much of it since we had been outside playing and things. As the afternoon progressed she starting getting really whiny and wanted held. I was starting to notice that she was getting more bumps that looked like welts on her arms. I called her Dr. around 4:30 and told them what I saw. They said that they were probably hives and to give her some benadryll. I gave her the dose of benadryll and starting rocking her. While I was rocking her I started to notice the welts were everywhere and that her knees were hot and red. A little while later I tried to put her down on her legs and she just screamed bloody murder, shorty after that I noticed that her knees were swelling. Every time we moved her she cried, so we had to carry her like a baby so we didn't move her knees. As soon as Brandon got home we packed her up and took her to the urgent care. At the urgent care the Dr. said she had double ear infections. They tested for strep thinking that maybe her body was not fighting the infection and that's why she was swelling. He also said he didn't think she was having an allergic reaction. They also did some blood work. They sent us home with antibiotic and steroids. We gave her the meds and put her to bed that night and when she woke up Friday morning she was fine. We had a follow up apt. with Dr. Woods Friday morning who told me that all her tests came back negative so they weren't sure what was going on. Then....on Friday afternoon the welts reappeared. I called again and they told me to watch her and if she starting swelling to take her to the ER. I put her to bed with the welts and she woke up fine this morning! Crazy huh?

Well, my blogging family sorry I'm just now updating a week later. Our Internet was down for 2 1/2 days and we had a busy week. All of us have a cold and Tayten had a mystery sickness (that's a entire post in it's self), and we had a busy busy week. Hopefully next week I'll be better :)

My Grandma and Grandpa Davis's friends from Florida stoped by for a visit on there way back home to Minnesota. They had not yet gotten to meet Tayten yet so we stopped by! Of course they know lots about her since Grandma and Grandpa are very proud! Anyway, we had fun visiting and it was so nice to see them again! Great Grandpa Davis

Bowling with 4-H

Mom's 4-H group had a bowling party and Tayten and I went since Brandon was in the field. At first I wasn't sure how Tayten would do, but she loved it. Of course she wanted to run down the lanes but other than that she ran around wild and played with the big kids. Our neighbors where there so Claire entertained her a lot!! SwingSet

We put together the swing set a few weekends ago and she loves it. Every time we go out side she heads to the back yard. It's perfect for her size. She swings for awhile then goes to the side and then swings again!

Corn Planting and Spring Fest

Another busy weekend. Saturday we went to Spring Fest at Purdue. It was very busy but we had fun. I didn't take any pictures but we saw lots of animals and other things. I think next year will be a good age for Tayten to actually take part in most of the activities. Then we spent some time with daddy while he was planting. Tayten loves tractor rides and seeing her daddy. Before nap time today she was crying in the window because the neighbor is planting beans and she thinks that Brandon is out there. So needless to say I'm sure we will go visit daddy again tonight around dinner time!

Sitting next to daddy in the big girl seat! Her favorite things to do are: Put the seat belt on, honk the horn, & turn on the turn signal. Oh..yeah and eat Brent's runts

At least for now it seems to be that she's more of a farm girl than princess!! :)

Busy Day

Wow! What a busy day we had today! This morning we had MOPS. Tayten stilled cried when I dropped her off but quickly made friends with a "Grandpa" man. They said she played a little but mostly just sat in his lap. The man goes to church at ECC and he def. enjoyed his morning with her because he told me about how it made him miss his own grandchildren who live in another state. Then we met my friend Missy for lunch at the custard. Tayten was being so well behaved we did a few errands and then came home.
Later we fixed oven fried chicken for daddy and Brent and set out. Tayten loves going to see them each night. She says "daddy daddy" as soon as we get close to the farm. Tonight was a special night for Tayten as she got to plant corn with Brent. It was too cute. She sat on his lap and helped drive the tractor! My camera was in the car so I didn't get a picture but I'll get one tomorrow!!

We came home around 8:00 and she was exhausted! Here's a picture of my tired girl in her new Minnie Mouse nightgown that the Easter bunny brought! Little girls in nightgowns are so sweet!
