One Month

Hollis is one month old!

(I'm just a little late at posting this)

She weighs 8lbs 8 oz

Her height 21.4"

Her hair is a CRAZY mess! I put headbands in just to tame it a little.

She just starting wearing some 0-3 clothes but she still fits in newborn size. She has no waist so everything falls off!

We ran out of newborn size diapers so I started using size 1. They are a little big but they work!

For the time being she normally only wakes up once during the night usually around 3:00 - 3:30 am and wakes up again around 7:30. She's already a better sleeper than Tayten!

I don't think she's actually smiled yet, but I'm sure it's close.

Finally...

Hollis's newborn pictures have arrived and I'm so excited!

There was no way I could post them all, she took 78 shots, but I did try to post some of the best and our favorites. I'm sure I'll probably post more later.

Harmonica Playing

Tayten got some harmonica's (whistles according to her) from the pinata at Gracie's birthday party Saturday night. She loves playing them and has carried them around every where we have went since the party. Sunday evening she took them over to Grandma Kathy's & Grandpa Jim's and look what she did..... She got to play a little song with Grandpa Jim!

Randoms

• I need a NEW blog title ASAP!! I've been racking my brain trying to come up with something creative but I've got nothing. Maybe you have a good idea?


• My baby is almost a month old! It actually seems like she should already be one month, it's been a LOOONG month!


• The girls and I ventured to Menard's today to get some more flowers. Hopefully they won't die before I can get them planted.


• MOPS is now over for the year, which is sad but on an exciting note I'll be on the steering team for next year. Originally I was going to be in charge of Hospitality but then another position came up so I switched. I'll now be the discussion group leader coordinator. I'm excited to work with a great group of fun ladies!


• These pictures have nothing to do with anything- I just thought they were to cute not to share!

Hollis's Room

Hollis's room is so small that's it's very hard to take any pictures. I think it turned out super cute since I was doubting it when we first started it. I absoutly loved all the craft projects I put into the room. The lamp shades are one of my favorites! Changing table/dresser

I spray painted the lamp shade and then added fringe to the bottom.

Bookshelf- I made the name blocks and the little "H" light block. The wall above the shelf is empty and I'm hoping that once her newborn pictures come in I'll order a picture canvas to hang up.

I couldn't decide what to do above her crib so I ordered her monogram from uppercase living.

The pictures don't really do it much justice so you'll just have to see it for yourself sometime!

Double the Cuteness

I still haven't gotten the chance to put the girls in matching outfits yet. Hollis needs to grow, so her clothes will fit her :) Anyway, I just have to show you these adorable cute shirts I had made for them.

I searched forever until I found big sister/little sister shirts I liked. I really think these turned out super cute. I put the girls in them to have there picture taken, so I can't wait to see how it turned out.

Spa Treatment

The other night after Tayten's baths I asked her if she wanted a manicure & pedicure. She said, '" sure mommy!". Of course she had not a clue what I was talking about so I told her that I was going to cut her toenails & fingernails and then we could paint them! She sat so still, and giggled the entire time! After they were dry, she didn't move a muscle. She just sat in once spot and watched tv until bedtime!

I think I'll paint her nails more often :)

2 Weeks

Hollis is 2 Weeks!!

Such a sweet girl!

I really can't believe that she is 2 weeks old already, we love her pieces.

Here's her stats from her apt on Thursday:

Weight- 7lbs - she made it back to her birth weight!

Height- 20 1/4 inches

She's doing great. She eats about every 2- 2 1/2 hours during the day and 3 1/2 -4 at night. She's a great sleeper at night but throughout the day; not so much.

She LOVES the swing, so does Tayten.

She still wears newborn size clothes and diapers.

Not a big fan of her pacie.

Tayten is doing fairly well, except for not listening very well from time to time. She's had lots of changes so I'm trying to be patience but it's hard! I think once we find a new routine that will help. She loves her little sister lots. Always wants to hold and kiss her and she does not LIKE it when the baby cries. She insists that I get her picked up asap!

{Sponge} Bath

While Brandon was around to help me last week we gave Hollis her first little bath. Tayten thought it was so fun to give the baby a bath but she really wanted to take a bath with her. Hollis was so good too, never made a peep. I looked back at Tayten's 1st bath pictures and she was screaming, so maybe Hollis will be calmer?? Brandon usually gives Tayten a bath, so he also did Hollis's. Tayten and I just watched and took pictures Big Helper

we just laid her on some towels on the washing machine and use the laundry sink. Worked perfect!

Mother's Day

We had a wonderful Mother's day around here! Saturday night was a little rough and it wasn't because of Hollis, it was Tayten. She finally said that her EAR hurt. So Sunday morning we went to church and then made a stop at the urgent care where Miss T was told she had her 1st ear infection! Let's hope this is the only one! Sweetie's before church

Party Time....

Last Saturday we went to Landon's 5th birthday party! It was perfect that Hollis was born a few days early so we could go and everyone would have the chance to meet her. Tayten was so excited to go to Grandma Kathy's house that she actually cried most of the day before we went. I think she was super sleepy and still trying to figure out what was going on! Here are a few last shot's from our hospital stay. We had some of the nicest nurses and assistants we could ask for. Brandon and I loved when Tayten came to visit us each day! Thanks grandma Kathy.

This is Sunnie. She was our nurse's assistant that we had for 2 days. She was wonderful and was in love with Hollis. She took her out to the nurses station so all the other nurses could see her.

I was going to take a picture of Hollis in her car seat at the hospital but I forgot so I did it once we got home. She never made a peep the entire way home and slept most of the day once we got home.
