One evening Tayten was playing in her toy room when she called us in there, we went in to find her drawing this.... She was so excited, and said I made kitty ears!

Tayten Say's.....

Kids say the funniest and cutest things ever. Tayten is always full of funny lines and cute little things, so I wanted to write them down so I won't forgot them.


While we were swinging on the porch, she was pretending to talk on her phone, she says," Hi Zach, How's your day? Um...that would be fine. Talk to you later" After she hangs up I say, " who were you talking to and what did they say, " she said, " Zach called me and told me that HE was taking me on a tractor ride not DADDY! ( he did actually take her on a tractor ride so he is officially the favorite)


Hollis was crying very loud one afternoon and Tayten says to me," Mom, make her stop! Crying that is" Where does she come up with this stuff?

Last night while she's dancing around in the corn field while the guys ate she says, " hey B, I'm a princess cowboy! What??

Today after we came home, Hollis was fussy because she was tired so I started rocking her to sleep. Tayten was very very concerned, came up to her put her hands on Hollis face and says, " I know Hollis we never get to go on combine rides. I'm sad to! I just laughed and promised her that tonight for SURE she would get a ride :-) ( She is very used to getting a ride every single night and for the last couple of days it hasn't worked out to get a ride, apparently she's sad)

School

We visted Tayten's school last Friday for a short time. Her first REAl day of school is on Friday! She was so excited to go, and started giggleing when we turned into the parking lot. She loves her backpack and was so excited to finally get some papers to put inside it.

I'll update on how the 1st day went next week!

Mall Jump

Friday we had a fun day with Mom, Kelsey & Shelby. I guess we were celebrating the end of summer vacation. We had planned on going swimming but since it was a little chilly we changed the plan. First we had lunch at Red Lobster! Yum!! Brandon hates that place so I go when I can :) Then we did a little shopping at the mall and we finally let Tayten JUMP! She wasn't scared a bit and wants to do it AGAIN. I think she talked the entire time while jumping Getting Ready

Harmonica Playing

Tayten got some harmonica's (whistles according to her) from the pinata at Gracie's birthday party Saturday night. She loves playing them and has carried them around every where we have went since the party. Sunday evening she took them over to Grandma Kathy's & Grandpa Jim's and look what she did..... She got to play a little song with Grandpa Jim!

Spa Treatment

The other night after Tayten's baths I asked her if she wanted a manicure & pedicure. She said, '" sure mommy!". Of course she had not a clue what I was talking about so I told her that I was going to cut her toenails & fingernails and then we could paint them! She sat so still, and giggled the entire time! After they were dry, she didn't move a muscle. She just sat in once spot and watched tv until bedtime!

I think I'll paint her nails more often :)

2 Weeks

Hollis is 2 Weeks!!

Such a sweet girl!

I really can't believe that she is 2 weeks old already, we love her pieces.

Here's her stats from her apt on Thursday:

Weight- 7lbs - she made it back to her birth weight!

Height- 20 1/4 inches

She's doing great. She eats about every 2- 2 1/2 hours during the day and 3 1/2 -4 at night. She's a great sleeper at night but throughout the day; not so much.

She LOVES the swing, so does Tayten.

She still wears newborn size clothes and diapers.

Not a big fan of her pacie.

Tayten is doing fairly well, except for not listening very well from time to time. She's had lots of changes so I'm trying to be patience but it's hard! I think once we find a new routine that will help. She loves her little sister lots. Always wants to hold and kiss her and she does not LIKE it when the baby cries. She insists that I get her picked up asap!

Easter Pictures

I had some pictures of Tayten taken in her Easter dress. I wasn't going to have any taken since Ashley had just done them at the park, but this time she did some "studio shots" for me. I only had her take a few shots since I didn't really need that many, but I love the way they turned out! I've got prints ordered so everyone will be getting some soon! Nice Cheesy Smile
