Memorial Weekend

We started off Memorial weekend with a wedding reception. Of course it had to POUR down rain pretty much the entire time. Theyhad a bounce house for the kids, Tayten jumped for a few minutes while the rain took a break. Then on Sunday we ventured out to Aunt Connie & Uncle Ed's lake home! Tayten got to use her new CARS fishing pole! It was the perfect day, not to hot it was actually breezy. Tayten went up and down the stairs on the porch about a 100 times, I think that was her entertainment for the day!

Walking back up to the steps on the porch
Kelsey & Shelby- They can't ever smile for a picture

I think Tayten is trying to talk Shelby into something

Hollis spent most of her time snoozing and being held, but she was so good. It was pretty much the first time we really had her outside for a good amount of time!

Yay for summer!!

I'm going to be very brave and take them to the pool today-at least it's an indoor pool :)

Weekend Fun

Friday night we went to the Lindy Freeze! Yum-o. First time this season. Then Saturday morning we went to a cookware party and then that evening mom & the girls watched Tayten so Brandon and I could get some last minute things I needed before baby arrives. Tayten also got an early Easter present from grandma & the girls. She loves her new T-ball set ( yes we've been playing baseball in the house) and hippty hop ball.

Sunday we went to a memorial service that the hospital had, and then I worked in the girls closet. I think it's done or done for now anyway. It's so hard to organize it when your dealing with the changing seasons.

This picture is totally unrelated to this weekend, but I did get these for Miss T last weekend!

They may possibly be the cutest thing yet!

Weekend hodge-podge

Not much went on around here this weekend. Saturday was a fun day. Brandon kept Tayten for me, while Shelby, mom & I went to Indy for a little shopping. Kelsey had some FFA event to go to, so it was just us 3. They needed some spring break things and I just shopped for my girls. The traffic was awful. We may have spent more time in the car, then actually shopping. I did get some super cute summer things for for Tayten. We can't wait for warm weather :) Sunday, we worked on my "to do list" and organized the toy room. Now I'm in the process of making labels for all the toy containers. Plus, I finally finished some craft projects. I'll post them soon!

Weekend Project

Near our bathroom, was this ugly built in cabinet. We have never cleaned it out since moving here and it was pretty much the only thing left unpainted in the house. We decided that if we could clean it up and paint that area we would have tons more shelf space. So, Saturday night Brandon primed the area and then Sunday afternoon they painted it! It looks 110 % better and I can't wait to decorate this space!
Before Picture- Well it was primed. I should have taken one before this, but just imagine old nasty paneling full of other people's junk and about 10 inches of dust and dirt.
When Brandon started painting today, Tayten got in on the action. She loved it, I was a little worried about the mess, but honestly it wasn't too bad!
Just getting started

Reaching for a high spot
I let Brandon handle her while I did some crafty things. I only heard him get after her once and that was when she decided to paint his ear!!

The finished product!

Now we can cross another thing off the to do list!!!

Weekend

We had a laid back weekend around here. On Saturday we went to a Creative Memories Party that my aunt had. I love CM's product which is scrapbooking things. I ordered a display board thing and I can't wait for it to come in. While we were at the party, Brandon painted the baby's room. I was nervous about the color but it turned out great, and goes with the bedding wonderfully! Dresser/changing table
(that still has Tayten's clothes in it)
Crib

Then on Sunday we put the crib together and moved the dresser in there. We ran out of time to put together Tayten's new dresser, but we wanted to make sure everything would fit in there. I still have a nightstand and a bookshelf to add and I think were good.
The paint still looks orange in the pictures but I think it's safe to call it coral pink. The room is very very small so it hard to take good pictures, but I like what we've got so far!
We have a busy week this week, so I have lots to blog about!
