Not knowing how much Tayten would understand, we told her that we were shopping for her friends. I'm happy to report that even though we had LOTS of toys & clothes in our cart their were NO tears from Tayten. She just kept saying, "my friends" over and over. We got each child 2 outfits, a fleece coat, pajama's, socks, gloves & hats along with the other things they asked for and some extras
So, today was the delivery day. Tayten & I took our items to the Salvation Army this morning. When I got there the parking lot was full and people were waiting outside. I wasn't sure why but they were looking at me like they were ready to attack if I was cutting in line. I soon found out they were waiting for the food pantry line to open. We handed them our bags, they thanked us over and over again and we left.
We had lots of fun shopping for "our friends" and I hope we make some children smile on Christmas morning :)
